Animated GIFs

I was just thinking - wouldn't it be awesome if animated GIF images animated while in thumbnail mode, from within your OS's browser? That way you could create your own little Brady Bunch animation to play around with in thumbnail mode. I'm sure there would be a few more uses, but that's the only one that jumps to mind at the moment.
